Points and Awards

Points will be awarded for the First place through the Sixth Place riders. They will be awarded as 7,5,4,3,2,1 respectively.

mention ribbon winners in the Equitation Medal Class.

A Champion and Reserve ribbon will then be awarded at the end of each Division.

No additional points are awarded for being the Champion and Reserve Champion of the division.

In the event that there are 21 entries in any regular division, the class will be split. Medal classes will not be split. Points will then be awarded to the top six riders of each section.  Only one Champion and Reserve Champion ribbon will be awarded --- to the high point riders of the entire division.

Team Points

There is no minimum number of riders required for a team to qualify for team points. If only one rider competes, team points will be awarded to them.

No more than
EIGHT (8) riders will be allowed to compete for points on a team, at each show.

For each school, the points of the top three riders, at each show, will be combined to produce the “team score” for that show.

The team standing will include points accrued in two separate catagories from riders in the Varsity Level of competition (Advanced and Intermediate riders) as well as the Junior Varsity Level of competition (Novice and Junior Varsity riders) .

The Champion School and Reserve Champion School will be announced at the end of each show. Ribbons will be awarded to their school representative.

End of Year Awards

Riders will accumulate individual points throughout the show season.  The top riders, in each division, will be invited to compete in the Invitational Show to determine the Divisional Champion.
