SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS

The Inter-School Horse Show Series (ISHS) is a competitive community that recognizes both athletic ability and teamwork. We encourage all participants to practice good sportsmanship, and we honor and recognize riders who demonstrate sportsmanship with The Mary Loftus Sportsmanship Award for Varsity riders and the C.A.S.E.Y. Sportsmanship Award for JV riders.  

If you witness a rider performing an act of sportsmanship that deserves recognition, we encourage you to nominate him or her for these awards by submitting a Nomination Form either at the show or electronically using the following links.  To nominate a Varsity rider, click here.  To nominate a JV rider, click here.


THE MARY LOFTUS SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD


Offered by Jan Martin in honor of her mother, Mary, The Mary Loftus Sportsmanship Award celebrates riders who show exemplary sportsmanship both in and out of the show ring.  This title is awarded at the end of the year to the Varsity rider who has demonstrated the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the year.

THE C.A.S.E.Y. SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD


Each year, we award the C.A.S.E.Y Sportsmanship Award to a Junior Varsity rider who consistently demonstrates the following attributes:

Cooperation
Accommodation
Support
Enthusiasm
Yammer (Not a) 

Offered by Devereaux Raskauskas, this award is in honor of the ISHS' mascot, Casey, and goes to the Junior Varsity rider who rider who has demonstrated the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the year.
