2024 Invitational

Everyone is invited to join us for a fun-filled show day with not one, but two shows - plus year-end awards!

Invitational Show

For the Invitational Show, the top 8 riders in each division will be invited to participate. The top 8 riders will be determined after the regular March 17th show. If one of the top 8 is unable to attend, the next rider with the most points will be invited. Each division will have 8 riders (so no splits - be aware of this if riders have been sharing horses!), and each division will consist of two under-saddle classes and one over fences class (all riders will jump). Ribbons awarded to 8th place. The entry fees will be the same as at regular shows.

Medal Finals

The Varsity Medal Finals will take place directly after the Intermediate Division Invitational division. The top 8 medal finalists will compete in a combined score under saddle and over fences class, and medals will be awarded to 8th place. The entry fee will be the same as at regular shows - if you are not in the Top 8 for the Invitational Show, but have qualified for the Medal Finals you will still be able to compete but would just pay the Medal entry fee, plus horse lease and coaching (if applicable).

Horse Show

After the Invitational, all ISHS riders are welcome to participate in our horse show, run the same way as our monthly shows (Advanced, Intermediate, Future, Novice, Maiden). We’d love all our riders to compete one last time for the year (no points will be kept), and would love to have anyone who would like to start showing at ISHS shows next year join us - including rising 5th graders. Riders who competed in the Invitational Show and/or Medal Finals are also welcome to participate. Entry fees will be the same as at our regular shows (Invitational Show and Medal Finals participants will pay entry fees and half the horse lease fee if applicable, but will not have to pay an additional coaching fee if paid for in the Invitational Show).

Awards

Lots and lots of awards will be handed out - including the Champion and Reserve Champion Varsity and Junior Varsity schools, the Varsity and Junior Varsity High Point Rider for the series, and an award for the top rider of the series in each division.

Fun

Our theme for the entire day is “Under the Big Top” - a circus theme, so step right up to the greatest show on earth!
